Meet Talia Walton
Former Pro, Coach, Mentor, and Founder.
Talia Walton is a former professional basketball player, coach, and founder of Team Walton Basketball. A Federal Way, Washington native, her journey has taken her from gyms across the Pacific Northwest to the NCAA Final Four, WNBA Draft, and professional basketball around the world.
Talia played collegiately at the University of Washington, helping lead the Huskies to their historic 2016 NCAA Final Four appearance. On the national stage, she set an NCAA Final Four record with eight three-pointers in a single game and earned NCAA All-Final Four Team honors. She was later selected by the Los Angeles Sparks in the 2016 WNBA Draft before continuing her professional career overseas in Hungary, China, and Sweden.
In 2023, Talia founded Team Walton Basketball to create the type of environment she would have wanted as a young athlete—one where players are genuinely coached, challenged, supported, and given opportunities to grow.
Her philosophy is simple: development comes first. Her approach goes beyond drills, emphasizing basketball IQ, confidence, and preparing athletes physically and mentally for the next level. That philosophy is at the heart of Team Walton's three pillars: Development. Exposure. Opportunity.
Backed by a master's degree in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership from the University of Washington and experience across coaching, athletics administration, recreation, and program development, Talia is committed to using the game that changed her life to impact the next generation of athletes.
BE LIMITLESS.
