Talia Walton is a former pro turned coach, mentor, and player development leader dedicated to helping the next generation of athletes maximize their potential. A Federal Way, Washington native, her basketball journey has taken her from gyms across the Pacific Northwest to the NCAA Final Four, WNBA Draft, and professional basketball around the world. Talia played collegiately at the University of Washington, where she established herself as one of the most versatile players in program history, finishing her career ranked among the top five in points, rebounds, blocks, and three-pointers made. She helped lead the Huskies to their historic 2016 NCAA Final Four appearance, where she set an NCAA Final Four record with eight three-pointers in a single game and earned NCAA All-Final Four Team honors. She was later selected by the Los Angeles Sparks in the 2016 WNBA Draft before continuing her professional career overseas in Hungary, China, and Sweden. Today, through Talia Walton Basketball, she brings those experiences back to the game through player development, camps, clinics, training, teams, and basketball experiences designed to help athletes grow on and off the court. Her philosophy is simple: development comes first. Talia's approach goes beyond drills and workouts, combining high-level skill development with basketball IQ, confidence, competitiveness, and an understanding of what it takes to prepare for the next level. Whether working with an individual athlete, leading a training session, or creating a larger basketball experience, the goal remains the same: challenge athletes to grow while giving them the tools and opportunities to do it. In 2023, Talia expanded that vision by founding Team Walton Basketball, a competitive girls basketball program built around three pillars: Development. Exposure. Opportunity. Team Walton is one extension of the larger mission behind Talia Walton Basketball—creating meaningful opportunities for athletes to train, compete, develop, and experience the game at a high level. Backed by a master's degree in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership from the University of Washington and experience across coaching, athletics administration, recreation, and program development, Talia continues to use the game that shaped her life to develop athletes, create opportunities, and build experiences that move basketball forward.
